G BLOCK1

ABH, IBADAN- Barely two weeks after the septic tank leakage at the back of G Block, Alexander Brown Hall was fixed giving temporary relief to the inhabitants; the smell has returned again, this time more suffocating than ever.

Talking to one of the residents of the block, “I do not understand why the smell has come back again. It was not long ago that the leakage was fixed, and now it is back again”. Coupled with the unremitting downpour that the city has witnessed in the past week, this has further contributed to the worsening view of the place, as sewage water mixed with refuse and rainwater have all aggregated to form a excruciatingly repulsive site to behold.

At moments like this, Brownites look forward to a lasting solution from the Executive Council and the Hall Management concerning the deplorable state of the block, as this not only serves as a laundry site for residents of the hall, but also a residential area for other students living around.
