TB JOSHUA GOES HOME AT 57
Renowned televangelist and founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua was recently confirmed dead after a brief illness.
Many people in Nigeria and around the world have been shaken up at the news of his sudden demise.
As garnered from sources, the prophet was in the middle of a service he was conducting on Saturday, when he began to feel uncomfortable. He then decided to leave the church for his apartment.
His aides became anxious when he didn’t return in a long time. They proceeded to check on him but found him in an unusual position.
The church announced his death in a statement titled, “Prophet TB Joshua June 12th 1963 to June 5th 2021.”
This occurred about a week to his 58th birthday celebration, which he had earlier announced on his Facebook page on Friday, that would be marked by prayer and fasting to address the unpleasant situation of things around the world.
Although events surrounding his death are known, the exact cause of his death is yet to be disclosed. “We do not have the details now but I can tell you he was ministering when he suddenly took ill and left the church to rest,” a close friend to the family of the deceased said. Flags hoisted on the church premises now fly at half-mast, to mourn the departure of the late cleric.
Prophet Joshua is survived by his wife and children. He hailed from Arigidi Akoko, Ondo State.
TB Joshua would be greatly missed by many, especially the uncountable beneficiaries of his healing ministry and philanthropy.
