ABH TRANSCENDING LIMITS EXECUTIVE COUNCIL SWORN IN TODAY

The Alexander Brown Hall executive council elect was sworn in human stewardship by the Speaker of the hall assembly, Mr Tosin Oso and the outgoing chairman, Mr Abiodun Ogeleyinbo. At the end of the Speaker’s report, he named Honourable Esther Opone as the most disciplined honourable and Honourable Bisola Badmus as the most active honourable in the 2018/2019 assembly.

Due to the late arrival of the hall management and hall executives, the assembly went on a 19 minute recess at 5:01 pm to await their arrival.
At 5:20pm, the Hall master, Professor Shittu and the outgoing executives arrived FCR, the venue of the inauguration. The assembly resumed session again at 5:23pm. The chairman-elect Mr Folajomi Isa, gave an acceptance speech while Mr Ogeleyinbo presented his account of stewardship. Professor Shittu then presented the award of service to the outgoing executives and at 5:47pm, the Ogeleyinbo-led 2018/2019 Executive Council was dissolved by the Speaker. The executives-elect were subsequently inaugurated at 5:50pm.
The 2018/2019 hall assembly was also dissolved at 5:51pm and the new honourables inaugurated immediately. Election into the leadership positions of the 2019/2020 hall assembly was conducted after the inauguration. Mr Adegbaju Francis emerged as the speaker, Miss Abangwu Chigoanim Ann as the deputy speaker, Miss Adejumoke Abiodun as the scribe and Mr Akintayo Akinloye as the chief whip. They were all elected unopposed. After a short session, the assembly was adjourned at 6:24 pm to a later day and time.

When asked to comment after his inauguration, the new chairman, Mr Isa said, “I seek for your support to work diligently with the executives in making Alexander Brown Hall better hall where everyone can maximise their potentials”
