MELT MY ICE WITH YOUR FIRE!
It is no longer news that the much awaited dinner of the University of Ibadan Dental Students (UADS) is already upon us. Much more amazing, are the challenges and trials that the dinner had to undergo in order to get to this stage. From the taciturn battle of masks between herself and the University of Ibadan Medical Students’ Association (UIMSA) to the highly provocative vacation on behalf of the #noto100k saga, which she certainly did not anticipate.
Now she is back after two whole months, more determined than ever to prove her skeptics wrong, and melt the icy barriers with the burning fire of her determination. Themed: The Fire and Ice ball, the dinner has been scheduled for the very last day in the month of June, June 30. Pictures of fiery women and icy-men have been flooding every social media to create maximum publicity for this event, set to hold at the Hall of Rebecca, opposite Diamond bank, UCH, Ibadan.
Speaking with the Chairman of the planning committee, who also doubles as the Vice-President of the association, Urenna Emeyonu, she explained that the theme was “perfect for the setting of a ball. It is mature and classy.” She also opined the need for the dinner above all other planned activities prior, due to the timing and the highly uncertain activities going around the school at the moment.
Shocking to discover the reduction in the ticket sale, which is currently being sold for N1,500; Miss Urenna allayed the fears of people who are considering that the decrease in the price may a pointer to a decrease in quality of the dinner. “Quality persons do not produce items of inferior quality”, she reaffirmed assertively in her final remarks.
We indeed are looking forward to a magical event, come next week Saturday.
The question pinned on the lips of many now is: “Are we going to have a UIMSA dinner?or rather a UIMSA Health week?”
Nothing yet from the executives of UIMSA nor the Chairman of the planning committee.
Here are some of the anticipatory photos from UADS Dinner Committee:
