The popular reality show, Big Brother Nigeria, has started airing the reunion show of Big Brother Naija: Lockdown Edition (Season5) and is hosted by popular media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu. The show follows the competition every year and housemates get to talk about things that happened in the house and explain misconceptions people might have had about them and as they popularly say, “speak their truths”. The reunion show started fully on the 21st of June, 2021 and is aired on Africa Magic Urban and Africa Magic Family every night.
The online frenzy over the show on Twitter and other social media platforms is quite expected considering the drama. Asides the fact that a lot of people followed the show last year due to the COVID-19 Lockdown, the daily drama of this show makes it a topic to hop on everyday.
Talking Points: The reunion show was not lacking in the ‘violence’ department. Alongside the 5 seconds wahala that ensued, other things people found interesting are; the fight between Kaisha and Lucy, Wathoni and the continuous ‘gbas gbos’ she gets, Neo and his lies and of course, the “I forgived you” drama. The most interesting of all might be Kat3na’s accent, which a lot of people have found weird but funny. It however makes her very interesting to listen to. It’ll be criminal to forget, Tolanibaj and Vee’s fight with most people expressed their displeasure over Tolanibaj’s behavior and praised Vee for being unusually calm throughout the fight.
Back to the memorable fight between Kaisha and Lucy. Kaisha was angered by how rudely Lucy talked as regards her mother leading to her throwing a pillow at Lucy. Lucy retaliated by slapping her causing a fist fight between them. It felt like we were seeing an action movie.
