Sunday night saw the finest faces in television gather in Los Angeles for a rare host-free ceremony televised on Fox. This year’s edition of the Emmy awards, TVs highest honors, pitted favorites against newbies and streaming networks against ‘good old’ TV networks.
The HBO series Game of Thrones drew up its cumulative total of Emmys to 58 wins over 8 seasons, a record for any drama series in history. Prime video’s critically acclaimed second-season Comedy series ‘Fleabag’ connected with Emmy voters as it cleared four trophies including Best Comedy Series. Other outstanding shows at the awards include HBO’s limited series ‘Chernobyl’.
