Atiku gets endorsed by Obasanjo

The former president, Olusegun Obasanjo endorsed the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on Thursday, 11th October. This comes after Obasanjo’s statement two months ago when he stated he would not support Atiku no matter what.
But in politics, no enemies made for long.
Atiku who visited the Abeokuta home of Obasanjo with the PDP chairman Uche Secondus, the senator representing Bayelsa East Ben Murray Bruce, Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Matthew Kukah; Islamic preacher Ahmed Gumi, Bishop Oyedepo and others was accepted, endorsed and promised to be supported by Obasanjo his former boss. Obasanjo said he had forgiven Atiku as a good Christian should do.
The presidency has also replied in its own way. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, made the Presidency’s position known in a statement made available to journalists saying “They will lose together “. He also stated that Nigerians were yet to forget that both Obasanjo and Atiku accused each other of corruption during their fight for power about 11 years ago.
2019 elections will be one to see.
