WIJNALDUM MAKES EMOTIONAL EXIT FROM LIVERPOOL
There is the saying, ‘Everything must come to an end…’. It seems like this is the case for Dutch footballer Georginio Wijnaldum as he announces the end of his contract with Liverpool. In 2016, Wijnaldum signed a five-year contract with Liverpool and made his Premier League debut in August the same year.
The Dutch footballer has been playing with Liverpool as the number five from July 22, 2016 with his contract to expire on July 1, 2021. The 2014-2015 Dutch footballer of the year tweeted using his Twitter account his mixed feelings about leaving the club after his last match.
Although very glad about securing Champions League Football for his club for the next season, the sad part about leaving the club made him very emotional at the moment, the footballer tweeted. He also expressed his gratitude to his fans for their continuous support and to his team members for the unforgettable moments spent.
As much as he would have loved to still be in Liverpool, all things they say must come to an end. ‘I have to start a new adventure,’ Wijnaldum stated.
The Dutch footballer concluded by saying he would look back at his story and how it all went, promising to let the fans know the story behind it.
The saying continues, “Everything must come to an end, but at the same time, every ending is nothing more than a new beginning.” where will Wijnaldum’s new beginning be? I am excited to know.
