UCH, IBADAN – On the 9th August 2018 University College Hospital, Ibadan would receive an Icon in the name of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo the former President of the federal republic of Nigeria. Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is a former Army general who was President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007. He was invited to UCH by THE FORUM with the help of Emeritus Professor O.O. Akinkugbe to give a lecture on ‘The Challenges in Ethics in National Development’.
No one can predict how the lecture is going to go but one thing is for certain THE FORUM could not have invited anyone more influential than a former Head of State. Aside from being a former President he has served in various capacities in Nigeria and across Africa, from serving in the Nigerian army during war time to serving as a special envoy to the war torn Democratic Republic of the Congo. On the topic alone he definitely has numerous words of wisdom and the entire UCH is eager to listen and learn from a living Legend. The guest lecture takes place on the 9th of August at 9:30a. m, venue is the B. O. Osuntokun Auditorium, University College Hospital, Ibadan.
