UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN SET TO RESUME PHYSICAL CLASSES
The Senate Council of the University of Ibadan on Monday, 17 May 2021 approved the physical resumption of lectures for the rest of the first semester of the 2020/21 session. This comes two months after the University started running a virtual system of learning. It was originally agreed that the first semester of the 2020/21 session would be done virtually and physical resumption will be in the second semester.
With this latest expansion, the residence halls are scheduled to open on May 22, 2021, for a rumored fee of N17,000, which will cover the remainder of this semester and the following semester. New students, on the other hand, will be given preference in terms of hostel assignment, and they can verify their assigned halls of residence by visiting http://streceipt.ui.edu.ng. In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, the rooms will hold 50 percent of their capacity.
No new development as regards Alexander Brown Hall has been communicated. The press will give Brownites first hand information as regards resumption into the hall when a new development is communicated.
