Two students of the Federal University Dutsinma, Katsina have been reported dead. The two students, Suleiman Aliyu and Nana Firdausi Mustapha, died due to drowning and road accidents respectively.
Suleiman Aliyu, a 100 level physics and electronics student drowned while swimming at Dutsinma dam where he was celebrating Nigeria’s Independence day according to the university’s spokesman Habibu Mutazu.
Nana Firdausi Mustapha, a Microbiology student, was said to have died as a result of a road accident along Kankara road while travelling to the University’s permanent site along with other students.
Suleiman has been buried according to Muslim rites, while Nana Firdausi has been buried at the Dutsinma cemetery.
