NIGERIANS CAN BE SO …….extra!!
It is no doubt that football brings out our deepest emotions. With Nigeria slugging it out for a shot at the World Cup Championship this year in Russia; apprhensive, yet faithful Nigerians have taken to all forms of support to ensure that Nigeria makes it far this year.
From traveling all the way to support the players in Russia to offering prayers in churches, its been a poignant yet dramatic, and somewhat funny journey so far.
Here is a picture of a woman holding her bible and anointing the players, at the line-up before the match against Iceland.
A victory such as yesterday’s indeed put tears to the eyes, and joy to millions of viewers including Nigeria’s famous economist and founder of The Tony Elumelu Foundation, Mr. Tony Elumelu.
