The news currently making the rounds in the entertainment scene is that of the engagement between one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors, Nick Jonas and Bollywood sweetheart – Priyanka Chopra. Nick Jonas, 27, was the front man of the defunct albeit successful musical band “Jonas Brothers” which comprised three male siblings, he has also appeared in plenty movies including “Jumanji 2”. Priyanka Chopra, 36, is not new to the entertainment scene also; she was the winner of the Miss World 2000 beauty pageant, since then she has managed to make a name for herself both locally in India and internationally, appearing on Times 100 most influential list (her recent projects include Baywatch and Quantico).
The news came as a surprise to a lot of people because they just started dating two months ago despite being friends for a long time. It was reported that Jonas, 25 years, proposed to Priyanka in London on her 36th birthday after shutting down a Tiffany store in New York to choose a ring (hustle till your village people can’t hold a meeting without you!).
Representatives for the two stars haven’t responded to the rumours but an Indian movie director appeared to allude to the engagement when he announced that Chopra was leaving the film “Bharat”.
Wedding bells just keep ringing these days, yes? Ladies and Gentlemen, don’t hesitate to shoot your shot; it might just land in the right place (the target should be an adult though).
