On Sunday morning, the president of the United States of America announced that the US special forces had killed ISIS founder and leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a raid that took place some hours earlier. According to Trump, al-Baghdadi was cornered in a tunnel and he responded by igniting his suicide vest, killing himself and three of his children in the process.

“His body was mutilated by the blast. The tunnel had caved in on it in addition. But test results gave certain immediate and totally positive identification. It was him,” Trump told reporters.

“The thug who tried so hard to intimidate others spent his last moments in utter fear, in total panic and dread, terrified of the American forces bearing down on him,” he said.

He also said that the other eleven children of the former ISIS chief were unharmed and handed over to a third party (unnamed).

The raid was said to have been a successful one as there were no casualties, and sensitive information was recovered from the dead terrorist’s compound.
