The Federal Government has declared that it was working hard to come out with a policy that would limit the number of children that a mother could have in Nigeria .
This statement was made by the The Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed who disclosed it at a question and answer session at the 24th Nigerian Economic Summit in Abuja on the 23rd October, 2018. It was also said that traditional rulers and other leaders across the country were being engaged in the discussion.
It has been noted that Nigeria’s high population is one of the greatest challenges confronting the successful implementation of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan.
