The wife of the President-Aisha Buhari dropped a comment on her verified twitter page on Wednesday calling for the Inspector General of Police- Mohammed Adamu to take action in the alleged case of rape against Founder and Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly- Biodun Fatoyinbo.
She posted “IGOP get involved, everyone get involved” after sharing a video of TVC reporters discussing the fresh allegation by a former church worker which came up last week.
While this by all standards passes for a concerned comment by our First Lady. It brings attention to what her definition of get involved is. Is this another variant of the all too familiar tale of Nigerians touched by disheartening social issues who come one social media to offer some form of activism which neglects to use the means they have at their disposal, even their voice?
Time is a fair judge afterall.
