ABH PLUNGED INTO DARKNESS AS COMUI FACES DISCONNECTION FROM UCH ELECTRICITY
noAlexander Brown Hall experiences a blackout along with some areas connected to the College of Medicine UI. This, apparently began after the usual supply from 8:00pm to 11:00pm on Tuesday, 29th April.
Important to mention that this went on without a formal notice by neither UCH management or the College of Medicine. The last official update on power issues was on March 28th, announcing a planned disconnection for Saturday, March 29th.
However, a notice from the University College Hospital Students’ Association later confirmed that a disconnection had indeed occurred, shedding light on the cause of the ongoing outage.
The question left unanswered remains, when will power be restored? This unfortunate inconvenience coincides with the resumption of medical and dental students. With school in session for clinical students, the outage puts them and the rest of Brownites once again in an uncomfortable situation of hustling for water and battery power on their devices.
We hope the management handles this with prompt consideration and mercy.
