CRISTIANO RONALDO’S FPL PRICE SPIKES FOLLOWING DAZZLING PERFORMANCE

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Fantasy Premier League price has increased for the second time in two weeks following his third consecutive goal for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United.

Ronaldo scored in Manchester United’s 2-1 victory over West Ham United last weekend, extending United’s unblemished Premier League start. Ronaldo now has four goals in three games in all competitions, including three in the league.

Due to his great goalscoring streak, Ronaldo’s ownership has skyrocketed since his Gameweek 4 debut, reaching over 45 percent of FPL players and making him the game’s second-highest owned player, trailing only Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

Ronaldo was initially valued at £12.5 million when he was added to FPL earlier this season, but after his goal against West Ham increased his ownership by a few hundred thousand, the 36-year-old is now the most expensive player in FPL, costing £12.7 million, surpassing Salah (£12.6m).

The £0.1 million price rise was his second in FPL thus far. Players’ worth varies according to their popularity. When thousands of FPL managers sign a player, his price will quickly skyrocket. There is still a chance that Ronaldo’s price could rise again, even though he just got a price increase on Sunday night. Because of the recent increase in his price, his ownership is still occurring at a rate of 1.4% per hour, which will cause him to be even more expensive in the next two days.

Do you think it’s worth bringing in Ronaldo in your FPL team given that his price has just increased and is now the most expensive player in the game?
