20TH EDITION OF FOPA: TUNDE-ALAO TOBI CLINCHES AWARD

Tunde-Alao Tobi “Leget” has chinched the Most Outstanding Person in Academics award in the highly esteemed Fifteen Outstanding Persons’ Award of the Junior Chambers International, University of Ibadan. The award ceremony which held at the Wole Soyinka Art Theatre on Friday, 9th November saw Leget beat the duo of Bamigboye Adeboye, a 500 level Pharmacy student on a CGPA of 6.8 and Ebuhonielem Ofure, a 400 level student of Computer Science on a CGPA of 6.9 in what seemed to be a tight call.
Also nominated from the Alexander Brown Hall were the duo of Adesanya Folajimi of the Panacea Project and Oyebamiji Fawaz of Hamstrings Club in the Selfless Contribution section. The award was taken home by Miss Chinenye Nzom of Ibadan Volunteers’ Hub.
Similarly, Nwarueze Elizebeth won the UI Personality award, edging out Nwaezuoke Chisom Anastasia, a 400 level student of Physiotherapy and Sadik Gbengba, the Literary and Debating Society president who still won the award for the Most Outstanding in Student Leadership.
Other winners were Lafua Oluwafemi in Entrepreneurship,
Sanni Hassan of the Faculty of Renewable Natural Resource, Bowofoluwa Egbeyemi in Sports and Borokini Oluwafunmilayo for Hall Management.
Despite being a little distant from the main University campus, it is remarkable that exploits from citizens of the Alexander Brown Hall are being acknowledged and these nominations are a testament.
